Alison and Kevin’s cheeses are well known and respected in the trade. Unfortunately, demand often outstrips supply ! Look out for them in fine food outlets.
Lesley’s favourite : Golden Cross. An example of a really fine goat cheese – it cannot be faulted.

Gouda shaped moulded cheese – great flavour. Mike and Judy supply many fine food shops and sell at local farmers markets. Lesley’s favourites : Winchester and Nettle with Garlic.

- Hand made vegetarian, blue veined semi soft cows milk cheese, unpasteurised , called Norbury Blue.
Michaela started making her blue cheese in 2002 and it has since gained a very good reputation. The cheese is sold in fine food shops and at local farmers markets.
Lesley recommends this to all blue cheese lovers. It has a good creamy texture, lovely flavour, and Michaela now manages to make them all blue-veined (a bit of a problem to start with!)

- Hand made organic,vegetarian cows cheese from a biodynamic farm (unpast.) Cheeses : Sussex Dewpond , Sussex Cheddar + soft fresh cheeses with herbs.
Mark Hardy (High Weald Dairy) does distribute some of these delicious cheeses, but you really need to visit their farm shop at the farm. It is open seven days a week and has a brilliant range of organic vegetables, meat and dairy products. You can also see the animals and chat to well informed enthusiastic staff about their farming methods.
Lesley’s favourites : Mature cheddar and Sussex Dewpond with green peppers.

Anne Wigmore makes three different cheeses. Waterloo is a soft white cows cheese, made using the coulommiers method. Spenwood is a hard, sheeps cheese, while although Wigmore is also a sheeps milk cheese, it is semi-soft.
