A TWO DAY COURSE BASED IN HORSHAM, WEST SUSSEX.
FOOD BUSINESS-START UP & LEVEL 2 AWARD IN FOOD SAFETY IN CATERING

Are you thinking of opening a food business, but need help to get started?

• Even if you open a small food business from your kitchen at home you will have to comply with the law.

• Learn from the expert. During the course every student will have a one-to-one Q&A session with Lesley, in order to help them understand how to move forward with their plans.

This two day course combines a recognised level 2 food safety qualification with an introduction
to starting up a food business.

The course will cover combine these two key elements:

      Food Business Start-Up

Key areas concerning legal requirements are covered. The course also offers useful tips and guidance to novices, in order that they can avoid many of the pitfalls faced by new businesses. Sufficient time is allowed over the two days for students to ask questions. Many people dream of starting up food businesses from home or a small unit, but do not know where to start. This course sets them in the right direction.

      Level 2 Award in Food Safety In Catering (Royal Society for Public Health)
                       A recognised food safety qualification.

Students will learn how to carry out best hygienic practices + understand food safety hazards and what should be done to prevent them. An overview of relevant food safety systems will be considered in order that students can decide which would be appropriate to apply when they themselves are handling food. They will also gain an awareness of food safety law + how to carry out correct pest control.

• Cost £250.00 per person for the two day course (this includes the cost of the RSPH exam fee)

• Student
   Parking All day parking available at the public car park situated nearby in Swan Walk shopping centre.

• Start/Finish
   Times This course starts promptly at 9.30 am. both days and finishes at 4.30 pm. Students need only bring pen and writing paper.

• Refreshments Tea/ coffee plus a sandwich lunch will be provided each day.

• Course
Cancellation If, due to tutor illness, a course cannot take place, another course will be arranged a.s.a.p.
If, due to insufficient bookings, a course has to be cancelled, students will be offered a place on the next available course.
